New from Thunder Rose Leather

Spring is definately here now. Even my grape vines are getting there leaves. The only trees left to come out are the mesquite trees. They come out in April. I love mesquite trees. I have a really big one in my garden. They are a desert tree so they don't have to be watered.

A few things are coming up in the garden and the march winds have been blowing strong.

We've been busy in the shop. Thought I'd share a new thing or two with you today. I got some new beads in this week and as soon as I have a moment I am giong to post them in our leather and bead store on Etsy.

 This is one of my bead walls. I have one here by our singer sewing machine. A lot of medicine bags have been made on this beauty. 

Most of our work is hand stitched but a few things are done on a sewing machine.

Today I would like to show you a few things from our Handmade Artist's shop

 This morning I woke up and decided to create a highlight on Handmade Artists.

A highlight is the same thing as a treasury, except you get to put 20 artists in and everyone's highlight is on the front page of Handmade Artists. Each artist in the highlight gets a picture of there art on the front page of Handmade Artists. So it's very fair for all artists. 

Spring is right around the corner so I thought I'd show a couple of  signs of spring and summer that are to come.

BEADED HUMMINGBIRD BAG

This is a  crossbody handbag with a beaded hummingbird. It's made of soft, palamino elkskin leather with contrasting saddle elkskin lace. This leather bag is perfect for your smartphone and a few other items.

BEADED DRAGONFLY HANDBAG

 

This fringed leather crossbody handbag  with a beaded dragonfly is made of durable tobacco elkskin leather .
This bag features an extra pocket inside and one on the back and an adjustable 4 point braided strap.
The beaded dragonfly is beaded with glass seed beads in rainbow bead colors.
A great fringed leather crossbody bag for the person who loves dragonflys and having a special bag with them always.

Spring is on its way

I am up very early this fine Sunday Morning. We have been getting some really good rains. The perennial plants in our garden are waking up and I saw my first robin. Spring is very close.

New beginnings and fresh air with the rains makes for good feelings.  I saw an amazing rainbow the other day that always makes me smile. 

Here are a couple of our leather creations.

 

FRINGED LEATHER PHONE BAG

This simple leather crossbody  bag is made of brown elkskin leather. It is a perfect leather bag to carry your phone and a few other items in. If you are going out to dinner , dancing or a movie this bag would be light and easy to carry along.

We have been expanding our baby moccasins to more and more sizes. We have beaded and plain leather moccasins. Our children's moccasins and our baby and toddler moccasins are all made of soft durable elkskin leather and come in a variety of colors.
