The simple life

Good day!  Life as we all know can really be complicated. We call it white water around my home , when things go in that direction. Of course it never lasts forever just like the river the white water is always changing. So when you hit white water rest assured it will go back to calm waters. But don't get to attached to that either because life is change. You can't really stop change. If you resist change well you are in for a real struggle. But if you accept change you will be able to relax into it. 

Through those rocking  times when the boat is going up and down , from side to side and crashing around, breath.

Write in your Gratitude art journal , or start one. Give thanks for the precious life you have and always remember that this to shall pass.

Take a step back , relax into the present moment. Listen to the sounds around you, the birds or whatever is there. Breath.

Let go!

Honestly , this is a reminder to me!

From the garden

Good Morning! It's a beautiful day in Arizona. I just sat in the garden and watched the sunrise. We have a few clouds because some weather is coming in so that makes the sunrise even more beautiful. This blog is my own little corner of the world where I can share my aspirations, inspirations and artwork with my family and friends. I have been playing in my garden in the afternoon. Here is Arizona spring is here. The trees are out mostly, not the mesquite trees they usually come out in April. I really love mesquite trees . They are a desert  tree. They don't require a lot of water and do very well on their own. The one you see in this picture lives in our garden. It is really big and beautiful.  This is a picture from last year when the leaves were out.   I enjoy sitting and working in my garden. It is a great earth connection place for me. Sometimes I get into a flow planting and playing that I can't help but feel guided by the wonders of nature. It means so much to me. It is a balance for me. Another one of my favorite trees is our chaste tree. We look forward every year for the beautiful purple flowers. The hummingbirds love to work the flowers.  

Another one of my favorites is our rose bush. It almost always blooms by Mother's Day.  So here is a little bit of the beauty from my garden. 

I am looking forward to showing you the new bushes we planted this year.

Happy Thanksgiving

Good morning! The sun is just coming up over the mountain and it's gonna be a beautiful day here in Arizona. Thanksgiving Day is here. John and I always enjoy the day by cooking a nice yummy meal , relaxing and giving thanks.

 It's a beautiful time of year with the spiritual overtones of gratitude and giving. There are also some who really miss their families, have lost loved ones and feel sad this time of year, so let us be mindful of them and send loving kindness to them. At our home Christmas is another time of giving thanks for family and friends. Being grateful for our spiritual connection to the Great Spirit, and Mother Earth. I just wanted to say that much.
