Spring is on its way

I am up very early this fine Sunday Morning. We have been getting some really good rains. The perennial plants in our garden are waking up and I saw my first robin. Spring is very close.

New beginnings and fresh air with the rains makes for good feelings.  I saw an amazing rainbow the other day that always makes me smile. 

Here are a couple of our leather creations.

 

FRINGED LEATHER PHONE BAG

This simple leather crossbody  bag is made of brown elkskin leather. It is a perfect leather bag to carry your phone and a few other items in. If you are going out to dinner , dancing or a movie this bag would be light and easy to carry along.

We have been expanding our baby moccasins to more and more sizes. We have beaded and plain leather moccasins. Our children's moccasins and our baby and toddler moccasins are all made of soft durable elkskin leather and come in a variety of colors. We are a made to order shop and will custom make your child's moccasins.

These beaded leather moccasins are made in saddle tanned elkskin leather and measure 6 inches heel to toe.

LEATHER TODDLER MOCCASINS

A pair of  leather moccasins for your toddler. These beautiful, soft, handmade moccasins measure 5 1/2 inches heel to toe.

BEADED BABY MOCCASINS

These beaded baby moccasins are made in cream colored elkskin leather. The beadwork is done with glass seed beads in purple and rainbow colors. These leather baby moccasins measure 4 1/2 inches heel to toe.

NEWBORN BABY MOCCASINS

Handmade leather tote by Thunder Rose Leather

Thunder Rose Leather 

 Lets start with this beaded sunburst large tote.

This elk skin leather tote with a beaded sunburst is a great handbag for your everyday needs. It has an extra pocket inside and a comfortable strap if you like to wear your handbags crossbody.

This bohemian gypsy style is for the free spirited person who likes to be different and unique. It goes well with your skirts or a pair of jeans. This bag is designed by us, beaded by us, one stitch at a time and one bead at a time.

There is a lot that goes into making a bag. All the way from laying out those large elkskin hides and finding just the right pieces for a bag, cutting and punching the whole bag out, cutting the sewing laces and cutting the fringe.Then sitting down to sew.

Once the bag is complete there are finishing touches. Cutting the antler toggle and buttons and attaching them. 

Each fringe is tied on one at a time.

 You can see the antler buttons on the side giving this leather tote even more support and a beautiful decoration.

 

The bead work, a sunburst rosette is beaded in an assortment of rainbow colored beads. It is made and then sewn onto the bag.

I love to lace around my bead work designs to enhance the look.

It gives the bag and the bead work a different dimension.
