Leather handbags Beaded turtle purses

Good morning! It's Saturday and a beautiful day. The sun is bright the rain has passed and the air feels so good. I have been working on some new things this week. One is this leather handbag with a beaded turquoise turtle  that I will be sharing pictures of. As you know it is featured in my Esty store. This bag is not made to order it is ready for you today. The beaded turtle has a turquoise cabochon in the center. It reminds me of mother earth. The leather is elkskin. I love using elkskin leather for my bags and purses because it is strong and durable. The buckskin leather elk hides are perfect for strength and beauty.

I also have a beautiful fringed leather handbag with a beaded turtle that is ooak. This bohemian buckskin leather handbag is for the person who doesn't mind saying I'm a free spirit and love being one of a kind. This bag is made of dark chocolate elkskin and is so beautiful. Beautiful Arizona sky

Beaded fringed handbags for Havasupai festival

Every year I am honored with the job to create two beaded handbags for the Havasupai naming ceremony. These are the bags I made for this occasion.

These fringed handbags are made of very soft elkskin leather. They feature an extra pocket on the inside and one on the back of the back.  There is an adjustable four point braided strap that can be worn over the shoulder, crossbody or tied around your waist. A beaded buckskin leather medicine bag is a great place to keep your special stone, crystal, jewelry, carved fetish or whatever your need may be. I beaded this directly to the leather using glass seed beads.

Beaded rainbow shamans bag buckskin leather

This elkskin leather shamans bag is ooak. If you need a place to keep your pipe, sage, sweetgrass, stones or whatever your favorite medicines are this is your bag. I beaded this bag directly to the leather with glass seed beads in fire colors. It also features an antler crown on the lid and antler beads and pony beads on the tied fringe down the sides of the bag. This shamans bag will just get better with age.

It measures 9 1/2" tall x 7 1/2" wide and has an adjustable four point braided strap.
