Happy Thanksgiving

Good morning! The sun is just coming up over the mountain and it's gonna be a beautiful day here in Arizona. Thanksgiving Day is here. John and I always enjoy the day by cooking a nice yummy meal , relaxing and giving thanks.

 It's a beautiful time of year with the spiritual overtones of gratitude and giving. There are also some who really miss their families, have lost loved ones and feel sad this time of year, so let us be mindful of them and send loving kindness to them. At our home Christmas is another time of giving thanks for family and friends. Being grateful for our spiritual connection to the Great Spirit, and Mother Earth. I just wanted to say that much.

Whats new for Thunder Rose Leather

We have been busy here at Thunder Rose Leather. Today I would like to share some our newest items. I love making baby moccasins. We have a variety of sizes that I have shown you before. My inspired thought was to create a little set for your new baby. A tiny beaded bag, first baby's bag. Of course this is more of a keepsake for mom and baby and can be handed down or kept in a special place to show your Grandchildren. The newborn moccasins will be perfect for your new baby and are beaded with beautiful colors of seed beads. I created a set for a baby girl and a baby boy. 

I have also been wanting to play with different colors of leather. So we got some turquoise blue deer skin. It's a beautiful color of turquoise blue leather and is very soft.

So let me show you.

BABY  BOY MOCCASINS AND BAG SET

The newborn baby moccasins in this set measure four inches heel to toe and are beaded by me in glass seed beads. The bead colors are turquoise blue, forest green, chocolate brown, turquoise green  and a darker shade of blue.

The small leather pouch is beaded to match the baby boy leather moccasins. These moccasins are made of saddle tan elkskin leather.

Can you imagine being at a baby shower and watching everyone's face when the new mom opens a baby gift like this ?

BABY GIRL MOCCASINS AND BAG SET

These newborn baby girl moccasins are beaded by me in pink, silk green and silk purple glass seed beads. The small leather pouch is beaded to match the newborn baby moccasins. 

These soft baby moccasins are made in saddle tan elkskin leather.

DEER SKIN BABY MOCCASINS

These are the turquoise blue deerskin baby moccasins I was talking about. They are so beautiful and soft for a newborn baby. These newborn baby moccasins measure 4 inches heel to toe and make a great baby shower gift.

At Thunder Rose Leather we have a variety of handmade baby moccasins and children's moccasins. All of our leather moccasins are hand stitched . Some are beaded by me with glass seed beads. We accept custom order requests and can make any pair in a different size or color and you can change the color of beadwork if you would like.   These baby moccasins are newborn to 6 months. They are made of saddle elkskin leather and measure 4 inches heel to toe.

NEWBORN BABY MOCCASINS

Newborn moccasins measuring 3.5 inches heel to toe. These moccasins are made in chocolate brown elkskin leather. They are so soft and so cute.

BEADED BABY MOCCASINS

 These beaded baby moccasins are beaded with glass seed beads and measure 4 inches heel to toe. 

BEADED RAINBOW NEWBORN MOCCASINS

We made these baby moccasins with white deerskin and beaded them in rainbow colors. They measure 4 inches heel to toe.

SIX MONTH OLD BABY MOCCASINS

These baby moccasins are a little bigger measuring 4 1/2 inches heel to toe.  They are beaded with glass seed beads in rainbow and purple beadwork. The leather is cream elkskin leather.

CHILDREN'S LEATHER MOCCASINS

These children's moccasins made of saddle elkskin leather and beaded in glass seedbeads measure 6 inches heel to toe.

Elkskin leather is very soft and durable.

Fringed Leather Totes

I would like to share a beautiful designer tote from Thunder Rose Leather. This fringed leather tote has lots of fringe and is a large tote. It could be used for an everyday bag, a carry on bag when traveling or whatever your needs are. It is an amazing bohomian gypsy bag . The color of this handbag is cream but as you know we are made to order so you may have this bag made in whatever color you see on our website. Also you can have the shoulder strap any length you like. 

FRONT VIEW

 As you can see this designer tote has a lot of fringe. It has fringe all around, down the middle and on the back as you can see in the last picture. It also has an antler tip closure. It is stunning!

 In this side view of this boho gypsy tote you will notice there are antler buttons for decoration and support.

BACK VIEW

This hobo handbag is over the top. It measures 13" tall, 15" wide and 6" deep, features an extra pocket inside. It made with elkskin leather and is hand stitched one stitch at a time. We can make this bag in any color or combination of colors you see in our shop.

So if you like a large handbag / tote this is the fringed bag for you.

If you are unsure about getting it dirty you really should get it in a darker color. If you have no problem with the antiqued look then you will be okay with cream. It just depends on your needs.

If you like bead work this bag could be around the edges in our linear style of bead work.
