Thunder Rose Leather totes/ Crossbody bags

Good morning! It's a beautiful sunday morning with spring in the air. I am so enjoying spring. 

I have a few leather totes to show you. These totes are different sizes and can serve as an everyday handbag or a place to carry your hand drum for those of you who enjoy drumming circles. They are multi purpose bags. I carry a 10" tote that I have had for over 10 years now. It's looking real good. I don't do anything to the leather and it just gets better with age. I have a beaded turtle on my bag.

I have recently been thinking of getting a larger tote. I love totes because they are so easy to get in and out of and they are secured with an antler toggle or tip when not in use. Our leather totes can be made to wear crossbody

 This chocolate brown elkskin leather  tote with with a comfortable crossbody flat strap measures 12 inches x 12 inches x 3 inches.

This smoke (soft buttery yellow) elkskin leather  tote measures 14 inches x 14 inches x 3 3/4 inches.

 This 10 inch x 10 inch x 2 3/4 " leather tote in saddle elkskin is a popular crossbody bag. It features an extra pocket inside and a comfortable flat strap.

Spring has begun Thunder Rose NewsLetter

Good Morning!

To start off I am so happy to say spring has arrived in Arizona. The seeds I planted in the garden have started to come up with these 70 degree days. This morning I woke up early, meditated , baked a few of my gluten free biscuits. I took my sweet dog Rosie out. Went into the garden and enjoyed listening to all the beautiful sounds of the birds. Tomorrow is our  anniversary, we are celebrating 33 years together this year.

I celebrated my birthday this month. John gave me these beautiful new beaded purple earrings that I have been looking at and wanting for sometime now. They are made by Debbie Lazaris

 I love them, they are totally my style and anything purple or rainbow colors is okay by me.

My other new change is John and I started an Etsy team. A long time ago we started a FaceBook group called 

Working Artists 

with the intention for Artists of all kinds and of course handmade to come together and share stories, their art and make friends.

We decided to take that a step further and begin an Etsy Team.

Thunder Rose Leather Newsletter

Today is Saturday Jan 12, 2013. I decided to do something different with my blog. Everyday I work hard making beautiful handmade items for people all over the world. Living outside of Sedona Arizona and having done many art shows and being in different galleries in the past,  John and I have sold our buckskin leather bags all over the world. 

Our business Thunder Rose started with a prayer one day. I started beading a few years before creating with leather. I was always looking for my nitch in crafts. Then one day while at a friends house I was introduced to beading. Well, I became addicted to beads . I started making earrings and I just went on to wanting to learn more.

Being a back to the land hippie with a love for Mother Earth and all things spiritual, I grew in my Art. The beads lead us to buckskins. John became interested in developing designs for our handbags, and all the other items you see us make. He is so good at creating new designs for our leather bags.

We are so grateful to all of our wonderful customers over the past 25 years for helping us slowly build a business that works. We are on a slow and steady path on all levels. It just works best. 

When we finally decided to go online, it was so exciting. We had no idea about the internet. We bought ourselves a small used laptop and walla here we are today. We built our first website

Since being on line, on all these different venues I have made some great internet friends. I have gotten involved in different blog rings and teams. People helping people! 

I'm still learning about all of this and opening up to be able to write my thoughts and share whats on my mind. To me it all takes time. 

I really enjoy being able to feature other artists. I am pretty simple about it all because that is how my mind works. My heart feels happy when I can make a difference. It's all in the doing.
