Good morning! It's Saturday and a beautiful day. The sun is bright the rain has passed and the air feels so good. I have been working on some new things this week. The beaded turtle has a turquoise cabochon in the center. It reminds me of mother earth. The leather is elkskin. I love using elkskin leather for my bags and purses because it is strong and durable. The buckskin leather elk hides are perfect for strength and beauty.

Beautiful Arizona sky

Beaded fringed handbags for Havasupai festival

Every year I am honored with the job to create two beaded handbags for the Havasupai naming ceremony. These are the bags I made for this occasion.

These fringed handbags are made of very soft elkskin leather. They feature an extra pocket on the inside and one on the back of the back.  There is an adjustable four point braided strap that can be worn over the shoulder, crossbody or tied around your waist.
