Dreaming of Vacation

 Our theme for our Handmae Artist's blog ring is Vacation.
 When I think of going on vacation the first thing that comes to my mind is the beach. I would love go to the beach and hang out with my daughter and grandchildren. They live on Kauai. This is a picture of life at the beach.

As I travel along in my mind  I would totally love to wear this beautiful watch that my friend Alix has created

Alix is a fantastic artist that brings a sense of whimsy and femininity to the pieces she creates. She is a self taught artist and finds that not being confined to tradition allows her to be freer in her designs.

I would love to sit on on the beach and write down my feelings of my experience in a beautiful journal like the one I found at 
Blue Highways . Writing a poem, drawing a picture while watching the waves and listening to the ocean can be a very wonderful way to meditate. It's a very grounding experience. This is the journal I would love to take with me. I love the purple , pink and blue colors of this beautiful handmade journal.
