This buckskin medicine bag is made in palomino leather but comes in several other colors. The measurements are approximately 4 inches tall x 3 inches wide and it has a 36 inch neck strap. It is made to order so if you would like a double drawstring pouch just let us know. The leather is super soft and durable.

Baby gift for a newborn

Good morning! It's a beautiful day in Arizona. Today I would like to show you a pair of our beaded baby moccasins that I made with a little girl in mind. They are made in white buckskin and have a beaded rosette on the tongue. A pretty morning star done in turquoise green and purple glass seed beads. These sweet little moccasins measure 4 inches heel to toe. They would make a very special baby shower gift for a new mom and baby.

Bohemian gypsy fringed leather handbag with beaded turtle totem

Good morning friends and happy Saturday to you all! While Rosie (my furbaby ) and I are waiting for it to warm up outside I thought I would do a blog post. 

We are well into the coming holiday season with Thanksgiving right around the corner and then Christmas of course. John and I have worked hard to try and get some ready to ship items up for sale. We are mostly a made to order shop and around the 15th of November we have to stop promising our made to order items for Christmas. Sometimes we are running a little ahead of schedule but you never know. 

I would like to show you our latest fringed beaded turtle handbag that we made and it lives in our ready to ship handbags section on Etsy.

The beaded turtle has an abalone cabochon in the center of the bag. It is done in different colors of green seed beads and a touch of silk gold glass beads. The gold beads give a beautiful touch to the beaded turtle. 

The bag has long tied fringe both front and back. It features a extra pocket inside and one on the back of the bag. This is a crossbody bag. The four point braided strap is around 48 inches long.

It's a beautiful Saturday morning and all is well ! I have been changing things up a bit in my routine and I must say it feels refreshing. I haven't blogged here in awhile but I do love this blog. This is my first blog.  I have done so much here and I learned about blogging here. Now I have a wordpress blog too. thunderrose.info I like both really. I also have an Etsy team I blog for on wordpress Rainbow Artists. Today I would like to talk about our supply shop on Etsy Thunder Rose Supplies. We started this shop because we make so many leather scraps, laces and I buy beads in bulk for my beading projects , we thought we could offer some for sale. Instead of clogging up our finished product shop Thunder Rose with boxes of leather , lace and beads let's open a supply shop and offer some to other crafters at a good price. We have glass seed beads mostly in size 11 because that is what I use in my projects 

This is just a few of the many items we offer. The finished products you see in the pictures are showing beautiful color combinations I have used in my beadwork projects. I sell all the colors of these beads in our supply shop .

We also have different colors of laces that we cut as you can see in the picture.

We have medium flat rate boxes of leather scraps for small leather projects.

Today I would like to show you this simple minimalist leather crossbody phone bag. It is a very comfortable bag that is light  and perfect for your phone and a few other items. I like to use mine when I go for a walk or want to travel light. This bag measures 8.5 inches tall x 7.5 inches wide and has tied fringe down the sides of the bag. The leather is very soft and strong and the color of this one is dark brown. If you would like a different color refer to the color chart and contact us . This leather bag has a four point braided strap that measures 48 inches. If you would like the strap adjusted to be longer or shorter just contact us. We are very happy to help you.

Newborn baby moccasins

                            Good morning and Happy Friday! Today I am going to share some really sweet baby moccasins from my Etsy shop

We make these leather moccasins by cutting from a very large hide, punching them with our leather tools and then sewing them. If you decide to buy a beaded pair we bead them with just the right colors of beads for your newborn. We are a very hands on handmade shop and all things are made with love. John and I have been creating these for over 25 years and we have some very satisfied customers from way back.  I gave them to all four of my Grand Children, keeping their little feet all warm and cozy. The ones I am showing you measure 3.5 inches heel to toe. 

These small baby shoes make a really great gift for anew mom and baby and are a big hit for a baby shower gift.

Purple Handmade Passion

Those of you who know me know I love purple. It is my favorite color. Although I do love all the colors and how we can put them together in our art and create amazing items.  

I have decided to revamp all my blogs. I have several and each one has a purpose. This blog is the blog I started out on many years ago. It has went through a lot of changes over the years. 

I decided that I wanted to try out a word press blog and I loved blogging there. So my 

Thunder Rose Blog lives there. 

Then I created my Etsy team Rainbow Artists and I loved wordpress so much that I decided to blog my team there. 

But to be honest I love blogspot too. I learned about blogging here. I guess you could say I have a little attachment to where everything started for me. In the beginning I was so worried about what to say and how to to it. But I jumped in anyway. Lucky for me everything was very user friendly. I got involved in a couple blog rings along the way , which was pretty cool.  I have learned over time that I enjoy blogging for others but I still need to promote myself. I am really grateful to Tim from Handmadeology for the treasury tool he made for us. 

Now I can blog for myself and add a really great treasury filled with my Etsy friends. How cool is that. 

I would like to suggest to all our friends that having a blog is a fantastic idea for your business. You just need to create one and let your inspiration flow. Start slow and you will more than likely end up loving it. One thing to remember is pictures don't really search but text does. So always remember to do a write up of some kind with great keywords so you will get found by just the right people in search.

On one of my favorite teams and I have several favs. On Fire For Handmade is one I have been on for along time and now am a leader on. It has grown so much and is a wonderful team. This week we are celebrating the color purple so I found some really fantastic items in purple just for you.
